Tallinn Polytechnic School 110 Anniversary Visual Identity
Walgus, the creative company I co-founded, originally grew out of Tallinn Polytechnic School’s media department and will soon celebrate its tenth anniversary. What started as a classroom project and a PowerPoint presentation in a business studies lesson quickly became a real company serving real clients.
As a graduate and now also a teacher at the school, it was a special honour to design the logo for Tallinn Polytechnic School’s 110th anniversary.

The central element of the logo is inspired by the distinctive tower on the corner of Tallinn Polytechnic School’s main building (built in the 1930s) at Pärnu Road and Liivalaia Street. Combined with the school name and anniversary number, it forms a simplified building-like shape.

Anniversary pins design.
The project started with pins designed for school employees and graduates.
A call for former students and staff.
The anniversary identity was also used for a call inviting former students and staff to share their memories, photographs and stories from the school’s history.
Outdoor campaign for the school’s Alumni Week, November 2025.
The 110th anniversary identity also became part of the school’s everyday communication during the anniversary year. For Alumni Week, I adapted it into an outdoor campaign inviting former students back to visit the school – particularly meaningful during its final year under the Tallinn Polytechnic School name.
